How to set-up new iPad

On Your Old iPad:

Backup Your Data

Data from Cloud Based Apps won’t need backed up. Apps such as:

  • Evernote

  • Google Drive

  • Dropbox


Data from Apps that store data locally to the ipad will need backed up:

  • Pages

  • Keynote

  • Notability


Erase Your iPad

Once all of your necessary data has been moved to your new iPad please erase your old iPad.

“Settings” > “General” > “Reset” > “Erase All Content and Settings”




On Your New iPad:

Some things you may want to do for setup on iPad Air…


  1. Connect the Wi-Fi to NSC_Corp.

    • Put in your firstname_lastname and password when prompted.

  2. Turn on iCloud

  • Be sure to turn on Find my iPad

  • You may want to turn on Docs and Data if you want to automatically backup apps such as Pages and Keynote

  1. Setup Your Mail

  2. Turn on a Passcode

  3. Install your free apps.

    • The first time you sign into the app store you will be prompted to download a bunch of free apps - Pages, Numbers, Keynote. Please go ahead and do this. It will associate all of these apps with your Apple ID.

  4. Download your previously purchased apps from the App Store

    • Go to the App Store on your iPad
