How to Create Filters in Gmail

Filters can be created to delete spam messages from certain senders, choose specific messages to be moved in an assigned folder, to mark certain messages important, and etc.  The below filter demonstrates how to automatically delete a message.

1. Open the email message that has the information you would like to filter.

2. Choose "More" and in the drop down menu choose "Filter messages like these"

3.  Input filter criteria such as, from a specific email address.  Select "Create filter with this search"

4.  Input your preferred actions.  Select "Create Filter".
