Mitel Phone Voicemail Instructions

The first time you log into your mailbox, you will be asked to listen to and follow a short voice automated tutorial to setup your pass code (6 to 10 digits), record your personal greeting (informative message) and your recorded name (first/last & school building).

Sample Greeting

“Hello. You have reached the office/classroom of _________________. I am unable to take your call at this time, so please leave your name, phone number and a detailed message and I will return your call as soon as possible. If you need immediate assistance please press zero. Thank you for calling.”

Step 1.Access/Login to voicemail system

  1. Pickup handset and dial 70100.
  2. When directed to enter pass code enter______________ then press #. (First time use 1111 as passcode) Listen to the entire automated voice attendant and follow it through setup.

Step 2. Set personal pass code (4 to 10 digits)

  1. Press 8 to enter User options.
  2. Press 7 to change your pass code.
  3. Enter pass code _________ then press #. (Note: you can no longer use your extension number as your passcode. You might want to use your extension number backwards.

Step 3. Record your personal greeting

  1. Press 8 to enter User options
  2. Press 4 to enter Greeting options
  3. Press 7 to recorded your personal greeting.
  4. Record your greeting and then press # when finished.
  5. Press 7 to review your recorded greeting.
  6. Press 9 to save your greeting.

Step 4. Record your name. (Don’t forget to do this part of the setup!)

  1. Press 8 to enter User options
  2. Press 6 to enter Recorded Name
  3. Press 7 to record your name (please say first and last name along with what school work in - example “John Doe, Noblesville High School”) Press # when finished.
  4. Press 7 to review your recorded name.
  5. Press 9 to save your name.


To access voicemail from home:

1. Dial 317-773-2021
2. Input extension, 70100
3. Input your work extension
4. Hit the * on your phone keypad
5. Input voicemail passcode.
